At More Than Words (MTW), system-involved youth learn to run three businesses – a used bookstore, a café, and an online book business – while learning to run their own lives and chart a path to self sufficiency. Of the youth who have graduated from MTW to date, 75% continue to be engaged in either school or work (compared with 50% for the population as a whole).
